For the Layer Family Reunion this year we went to Sunriver, OR. It is a resort town with bike trails, pools, golf courses, rivers, etc. Everyone was there including both sets of grandparents. We wanted to do a family reunion before my brother, Dave, leaves for Iraq. He did medical school through the army, finished residency last year and is now doing four years for the army. So they are sending him to Iraq and we are thrilled. Especially Laurie. Just kidding. Anyways, here are a few pictures from Sunriver.

Search is officially a fish. He will jump off the diving board into the pool with just water wings and no one in the pool to catch him.

Oh, come on Gandpa Duck. Search is not that scary. Grandpa took the kids swimming in the mornings.

The bike gang. Luke, Jenny, Search, Sophie, Destroy, and Darci. Search and Destroy got pretty comfortable riding bikes while we were there. Destroy learned how to use the brakes and Search learned how to gracefully jump off when he wanted to stop. He's got a few scars to show it.

If I don't write another blog, you'll know it's because I posted this picture of Aaron on a pink bike on the blog and he killed me because of it. He probably buried my in the backyard or threw me in the shed.

The kids on the four-way teeter totter. Yeah, I've never seen one either. It was a pretty sweet playground.

Ha ha. I noticed that Aaron and Wes had matching bikes. Pink is the new . . .uh . . .black?
*I tagged you on my blog . . .
I was wondering if you had any of those bathing suits with an attached lifepreserver in adult sizes. I really really want one. It looks like you had a blast. I am jealous of those there mountains! Good thing you majored in (therapeutic) recreation.
Like father like son . . . Wes was just starting to develop his pink infatuation right before he left. Did Aaron catch on?
