You know how every once in a while you read a book that you absolutely love? Well, I read "The Glass Castle" two weeks ago and 4 books ago (that tells you what an exciting life I have right there) and I still think about it. It's a memoir about a family and the parents are just unbelievable. You would not believe some of the crazy things that happens to this family. I won't say any more but I definitely recommend it!

I've read this book, too. Not only did it make me feel like I had the most idyllic childhood ever, it makes me feel like the best parent. It's amazing how resilient Jeanette and her siblings were. It's incredible that she wrote it so objectively without any bitterness. Wow.
Yes, I feel like a great parent as well. But it also makes me want to scream when my kids won't eat their food! I think, well at least you have something to eat!
I'm going to give it a try.
