1 Bloody Nose. You have to understand that the kids were so extremely excited about going on an airplane to visit their Nana and Grandpa Duck that they literally could not contain their spasing. They were bouncing all over the airport as I was avoiding the "can't you control your kids?" looks everywhere we went. As we get into the security line, I have my license and boarding pass ready. I look down at the stroller just in time to watch Destroy throwing his head back into Search's nose. Search turns around to look at me while inhaling for his first scream as blood comes trickling out of his nose. So, now, I have a screaming, bleeding toddler who I have to carry, a spasming kid in the stroller threatening to leap and all of our shoes, jackets, bags, stroller, etc that have to somehow get up onto the conveyor. And of course, no help from anyone around me. I will spare you the details of the rest of our trip but I will let you know that I am never traveling alone with my children. Ever.
2.5 Books Read. I love going to visit my mom and dad because I have more time to read! My sister in law recommended this one. I'll let you know how is ends :)

9 Cousins Played With. My brother Jake lives in Medford with his three kids so Search and Destroy have instant cousins to play with while we are there. Aaron's sister, Deanna came up with my Mother-in-law and her two kids for a day from Chico while we were there. She has two boys also, so the four of them had a blast together. Search especially had fun terrorizing her youngest, Lincoln. Watch out, Search. He'll be bigger than you some day :) Three days before we left my mom and I decided to take the kids up to Washington so that they could see their other cousins and surprise cousin Jenny on her birthday. Uncle Dave is away in Iraq but we got to see Aunt Laurie, Brett, Jenny, Luke and Sophie. A seven hour drive up to Washington easily turned into 10 with "Mommy, I need to go potty". And then 20 minutes later, "Mommy, I need to go poo". And then the worst, "Mommy, I already went". And so on and so on.
3 New Summer Cuts.
1 Cute Necklace Finished.
1 Fun Summer Bag Finished.
1 Happy Daddy/Hubby to See Us.
Normally when the kids and I make our annual spring pilgrimage to Oregon, Aaron gets really bored and lonely. But, this time he was really busy. Not only was he working a lot but he also had USMLE step III to take and a lot of other things going on. Like a list of stuff to do from me :) He also bought an AK (another gun) while I was gone. How good can it get? Your nagging wife leaves and you get to buy a gun?
But what could be better than coming home to this!
And this!
We have flowers all over our yard that weren't here last summer. With the exception of the last two days, the weather has been gorgeous. We've made it to the zoo a couple of times this last week and we've started the long process of making our yard look decent by removing all the dead leaves and plants. With the help of these flowers it will be looking really nice in a few weeks. I've decided that daffodils are a weed here. I see them everywhere! But, I'm not complaining. They are really pretty.
Anyways, we are happy to be home now. Destroy was happy to go back to school and Search begs to go too. Next fall, little man, and your turn will come.

What brand are those shoes? I love them! Do they have girly ones too? I love your hair, cute cut!
I totally understand about not traveling alone with kids. A couple weeks ago I flew up to northern California with the kids (but sans Dave) to visit my parents before they retire and move to Arizona. The flight was only 75 minutes, but by the end I wanted to kill myself. I'm supposed to fly to Georgia with the kids this summer for my little sister's wedding reception, but I think I'm going to bail. Four hours with William cooped up on a plane? I'd rather drink bleach.
So, I see you have been busy this Sunday! What a blog entry! I really need to start a blog for my family. Will you please help me?
Nice shoes and hair cuts by the way! I love them both!
I love your bag too, as always! How many bags do you have? It seems like you make so many. I really do want one before I leave. Will you make me one? Do you need me to get the fabric? How much?
I once made a beaded bracelet for Taylor and I matching before she was born. It was my one and only bead making. It was fun though.
Lastly, I love the beautiful flowers in your yard! It is nice that they come back on their own, but so do the weeds. Spring is my favorite season, the beginning of new life! The only thing is gardening! Good luck! I need to plant some in my yard.
Did you know that when you travel alone with children another adult can get a pass to walk you to the gate? I know, it's a little late now . . .but for future reference . . .
Looks like you had a GREAT time.
I love your haircut ... even if it is hair (which I hate too!).
Sounds like you guys had fun. Do you think that's where you'll end up? We're trying to decide right now what places are on our list. Oregon is there, but we've never been. Need to explore.
They are MUDD shoes. I'm such a teenager. Jenni, you definitely need a blog! Well, yes, I do have quite a few bags. It's quite an addiction (another one).
Jordan, I did know about the helper's pass thingy. But, Aaron couldn't make it because of work. They wouldn't let my mom in because the tiny little medford airport was overly crowded. Fun for me!
Julia, maybe we can be neighbors and our husbands can work next to each other :) I did some exploring while I was there too. Now I just need to convince husband that he wants to live there!
I want to see pics of the AK!!!
Traveling alone with the kids is the pits! The worst is trying to take them to the bathroom in the terminal. No one can watch your bags for you, so you have to haul them and the kids into the bathroom. And don't even think about going yourself. Blah!
I love your haircut! I, too, hate hair. I'd probably like it better if I had good hair, but I don't. I've always thought you had cute hair, though.
Heard from Amoo just after you guys left Oregon. She said you guys were getting started on your garden! Same here. That's why I haven't blogged in forever. I'm trying to whip my yard into shape. But I think it may be whipping me instead. : )
SO FUN to catch up with you and the boys! Your pics just inspired me to find some fun summer shoes....for me :) I'm loving your yard.
Love the pics, love the post, LOVE the shoes (especially yours), love the haircut, love it all!!!
Sweet shoes, adorable hair, and I love the bag! I'm so glad you are back . . . I weally weally missed you!!!
Hey Megan!
This is Rachel (Fish) from elementary school. I saw your blog through Emily's. What a beautiful family. I loved reading about "home" and cannot wait until I get to visit again. Hope all is well!
Loved the necklace! You did a great job and I do love your mom's bead shop!
