"Oh, I just can't finish my dinner because I'm so full".
We've all heard it from the kids.
"But, I'm ready for desert. I definitely have room for that".
Uh huh. There's either room in your tummy or there's not.
Well, that's what I thought too. But, luckily Destroy cleared that issue up for us tonight.
"Well, you see," in his most persuasive tone, "there is a separate section of your belly for desert. There's the part you put your dinner in, and there's the part you put your desert in. My dinner section is all full, but my desert section isn't."
Aaron's response: "Wow, they didn't teach us that in my anatomy class."
Me: "Wow, so much makes sense to me now!"

hahaha! That was so funny. You are definitely in for trouble as he gets older.
You know, I have to say that I was taught this principle from a very young age, although I always learned that there were 3 sections and the third was for liquid. And as a full grown adult who did take anatomy, I 100% agree with Destroy. This explains why there is always room for dessert, even when you are full of a delicious meal that you love. There can be no other explanation. You are lucky he learned this so young.
yeah...that is totally how my stomach works too.
That's awesome, and there is some truth to that...that's the funny thing. Dan said the reason people usually have room for dessert (besides the fact that it's the best meal) is a survival mechanism. Since sugar was very uncommon and it is a great energy source if you eat sugar it plays differently on your feeling of fullness in order to "store". Oh how I wish the "storage" part was not true.
