Look at me sitting up all by myself!
Destroy really wanted to be Jedediah Smith for Halloween after watching Owen Wilson in The Night at the Museum a few weeks ago. After a while the idea just turned into "a cowboy". His costume was complete with guns, holsters, handcuffs, belt buckle and cowboy boots. A vest was in the works but the seamstress got too tired.

And, as always, Destroy was completely into the part using the language, the drawl and actions.

I didn't get any pictures of Search dressed up because he's in the don't-take-my-picture-or-I'll-kick-you stage. And I don't want any bruises on my shins. The only thing he wanted to complete his Batman costume (because he already had wings and mask and clothes) was a Batman tool belt. So I made him one with a couple of hooks to hang gadgets off of and a little pouch for bullets, or candy :) I guess we don't have any pictures of it, but it's pretty sweet if I do say so.
We were also able to make it to Indy's Zoo Boo for about an hour and a half. Then Search developed another fever and we had to leave. I think that was the day that he went to bed at 3 pm and never woke up until the next morning.

The perfect little giraffe was pushed around in the stroller.
Until he got tired and decided to take a nap.

Destroy turned 6 last week so we "celebrated" his birthday.

To avoid more germ spreading and sickness, we crowded all 6 of his candles onto his piece of cake so that he wouldn't blow his flu-breath all over the entire cake.
Search was the only kid feeling normal at the time.
Dodge pretty much sums up the way the rest of us felt. No, he's not crying, he was just sick. Poor little guy. A picture of me would have been out of the question.
Destroy had just woken up from a long nap to eat pizza (which he hardly touched) and cake (ate one bite). This was definitely the worst kid birthday we've experienced yet! Aaron pulled his weight around here and took care of purchasing all birthday presents, ordering the cake (because I wasn't about to make one) and picking up pizza. Lucky guy, he finally has time off and he gets to take care of his sick family :)
Let's hope that Destroy's birthday is not an omen of the year to come! Happy Birthday, buddy :)
