Winter time stories

A continutation of Julia's...

YOU KNOW IT"S WINTER WHEN...

You consider "getting the mail" as an errand. It's too cold to just go out and get the mail so you make it errand number one on your list and drive your car to the mailbox. Which is at the end of your driveway.

Your arm hair is in fact dark. Not blonde.

You don't have to worry about running errands with milk in the trunk. It's being refridgerated while you're out.

You don't have to worry about taking the milk inside the house to the fridge when you get home. You can simply leave it on a shelf in the garage.

You make a special trip to Target for windshield washer fluid because yours ran out. But, when you go to pour more in, you realize that the fluid was just frozen, not empty.

You sleep with a fleece blanket under the top sheet so that when your spouse rolls over, the cold air won't come in and attack you.

You could sand a piece of wood with your knuckles.

You could start a fire by rubbing your un-shaven legs together really fast.

Typing at the computer for too long threatens to give your fingers frost bite.

You make a slide for the kids using the leaf from your table. And they are thrilled.

You never want to get out of the shower, you like hanging out in the laundry room while the dryer is going and getting into bed at night is your favorite part of the day.

How do you know it's winter?

So, so so funny! Thanks for the laugh ... I really needed it! Love the using your knuckles as sandpaper :) and I'm the same way with covers.
